Greetings!

I have always had a passion for film and television. But aside from a TV production class in high school, I had never given editing much thought. Seven years ago I started working at a local Blockbuster Video. During lulls in customer traffic, I would begin to study how the various trailers and promos were cut together on the preview monitors in the store. I started to become fascinated with the art of editing in general. As I began to teach myself various editing programs, I soon discovered that it was something that came very naturally to me. After years of practice and editing as a hobby, I decided that I wanted to pursue editing as a career.

For 18 months I attended Video Symphony (www.videosymphony.com). Located in Burbank, CA, Video Symphony is known as one of the leading post production schools. While attending, I successfully completed the Avid Professional Program. This included over 800 hours of class time, 500 plus hours of practice time in the labs, and three high level post studio session classes. These classes simulate a real world working environment, including the possibility of being fired if you do not meet the standards of the class. During this time, I was able to not only take classes dealing with the Avid, but Adobe Photoshop/After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Boris Red as well.

I am proficient on both Avid and Sony Vegas. My goal is to become an established short form editor in the entertainment industry using my skills to help promote TV shows and films through trailers and music videos. I enjoy creating various trailers and music videos paying tribute to my favorite shows and films so that I can continue to develop skills as a storyteller and editor in general. I have included samples of my work on this site. I hope you enjoy them.
